It's an all ELEY podium - the Men's 50m Pistol final

All three podium spots in the Men's 50m Pistol final went to shooters using ELEY tenex!

As the athletes stood on the line, preparing for the competition, the audience put their ear defenders on and waited with bated breath.

When the competition began, it was clear to see that 6 out of the 8 finalists were using ELEY tenex. Not just from the boxes on the athletes benches but from the sound of the shots firing.

The final was rapid lasting only 20 minutes with no shoot-offs between the competitors. This was much to the surprise of the audience as other finals in the Euopean Shooting Championships had several which were truly nail-biting.

To begin with the scoreboard moved around as the athletes settled into a rhythm, but it was ELEY shooter Costa who really stepped up his game as the competition drew closer towards its final...

Tuzinsky, Bruno and Omelchuk all took early leads in the competition until the athletes began to exit the final. It was ELEY shooter Mikec who was first to leave, even after some impressive scores.

Giordano, Tuzinsky, Koulakov and Omelchuk were next to finish the competition (in that order) which left the remaining three athletes to fight it out for the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

In the end the Bronze medal went to Russian shooyer Chervyakovs with a final score of 168.6.

Then it was then between Italian shooter  Bruno and Costa from Portugal for the final medal places to be decided. Bruno led in 1st place until the final shot...

Suddenly, there was a  dramatic switch in the score which left the audience both gasping and clapping.

The Silver medal went to Bruno with a score of 187.4 and the Gold medal was won by ELEY shooter Costa with a final score of 188.8.  Such incredible shooting from all of the medallists!
