Golden finish for new finals World Record holder

Petra Zublasing has been crowned the European Games Champion and finals World Record holder all in the same breath. The Italian shooter had a great start to the day qualifying in 1st place for the Women's 50m 3 Position Rifle event with a score of 589, which was a new European Games record. An hour later, the finals began with Petra shooting from lane A, known by some shooters to be the most pressured place to be shooting from. With nerves of steel, she shot well though the kneeling rounds and excelled in the prone series quickly becoming the leader. From that point on she didn't drop from 1st place position. Everyone in the finals hall simply watched in awe as this confident shooter smashed the existing World Record by 1.4 points. Petra, an ELEY shooter, shot the New World Record with batch selected ELEY tenex. Yesterday we interviewed her about her training, equipment and plans for her stay in Baku. Watch the full video below:
