The first three series went under way with some excellent shots going down the range from all the athletes , but after the three shots it was Lee and Zhang tied for first with a score of 28.6 and Jin in third with 27.8 , really reflecting the quality of shooting.

Another awesome display from all the athletes ended with Jin taking first place with 58.6 and Zhang with 57.5 and Dikec in third with 55.8 which was showing the closeness of the athletes on the scoreboard, the audience could feel an exciting final was about to get even more tense.

The next two shots determined who was to be eliminated in eighth place and that went to Kopp of Slovakia with a score of 70.7.

Jin was still leading by only 1.4 points over Zhang in second place, and a further 4.4 points down to Lee in third.

The next two shots to decide seventh place resulted in a tie score and a shoot off between Omelchuk and Grgic , Grigc shoot a 10.2 in the shoot off so it was Omelchuk of the Ukraine that went out in seventh.

The next athlete to be eliminated was Schmidt from Germany with a 109.4, Jin was still leading by 4,3 points over Zhang with Lee still in third position.

Fifth place went to Grgic who had prevailed earlier in the shoot off and Jin now managed to extend his lead slightly to 5.6 points over Lee who moved into joint second with Zhang.

Now the place for the podiums was getting close and fourth place was decided with Dikec going out after the next two shots with a total score of 148.8.
That left us with the top three of Jin , Zhang and Lee , just four more shots to find the winner!

The next round of shots shocked everyone in the audience with some seriously low scores for all three shooters, Jin shooting 7 , Lee 6.7 and Zhang 6.3 .It was like the pressure had simultaneously took its toll, however both experienced shooters Jin and Zhang smiled at each other as if to say oh well.

Two more shots left Lee with the Bronze medal with a final score of 167.1 and then that left us with just two more shots to decide the Gold and Silver.

With Jin 4.4 points in the lead it was nice calm steady shooting to secure first place that was needed and that’s exactly what the world number 1 did , to secure his sixth World Cup Gold medal in 50m Men’s pistol.
An Eley podium and many congratulations to all finalists.
