2016 Triple Crown of Rimfire

With more windflags set up on the range than an average shooter would know what to do with, the 2016 Triple Crown of Rimfire kicked off Memorial Day weekend. Two days, 3 types of targets (3 of each type), 225 bulls per person, and a whole lot of ammo going down range!  Ninety-nine competitors gathered for Memorial Day Weekend in Bristol, Virginia at the Kettlefoot Rod & Gun Club for a weekend full of precision benchrest shooting.

Although the Triple Crown commenced May 28, competitors began rolling in to Bristol several days prior to the Triple Crown matches to compete in other Pre-Triple Crown events including an IR50/50 match, the ARA Virginia State Tournament, and the Professional Shooting League Stiller’s Precision Firearms Benchrest Brawl. ELEY was the choice of ammunition for 98 percent of the competitors at all the matches.

In addition to these events, the US ELEY Mobile Customer range was set up for batch testing and gave competitors an opportunity to compare their ammunition with ELEY tenex and match their barrel to a specific lot number of tenex.
