Background

By the age of 3, Jennifer’s Mum (Shirley McIntosh MBE) had already won gold and silver for Women’s Prone at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria 1994. When she arrived home at the airport she picked Jennifer and put the medal around her neck it was from that moment to Jennifer decided she wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps. With help from her mother and father Donald McIntosh (Head Rifle Coach for British Shooting) Jennifer started shooting when she was about 12. It wasn’t for another few years that Jennifer began to take shooting seriously and started competing in internationals at the age of 16.

• Jennifer is totally addicted to science fiction TV and films
• She say's she reads far too many books

Which ELEY product do you shoot?

Tenex.

Why do you shoot ELEY?

I have always found it to be reliable ammunition that goes well with my rifle. Eley is all I’ve ever really shot – either Match or Tenex and it’s what I know and trust.

What is your training program like?

I try to train 3-4hrs/day, 5 days/week, on the range. I then also do 1hr CV workout 5 days a week and then a 1-2hr weights session twice a week and 1hr of pilates 3 times a week.

Do you have a special diet plan?

Not particularly. I just try to eat a balanced, healthy diet and snack regularly throughout the day to maintain sugar levels.
