Introducing our shooters - Vebjoen Berg

Background

Vebjoen was shooting national big bore competitions until he was 19 years old. He then qualified to be part of the Norwegian military shooting team where he met Trond Kjøll and Espen Berg-Knutsen. They helped him make his way to the small bore shooting events. Since that Vebjoen has participated in all international events at 50m and 300m, civilian and military. He has always participated in national shooting events alongside his international career.

Vebjoen had his best season in 2009 when he won the ISSF World Cup final 60sh prone, Gold in European championship 300m 3x20 standard rifle, Gold in CISM 300m rapid fire, equaled the world record (578 points), and become Shooting King in Norway for the second time.

Vebjoen is now training hard to get an Olympic medal in London.

Vebjoen has been shooting ever since a friend invited him to the local shooting range when he was just nine years old. Educated as an engineer of buildings, Vebjoen works as a designer of concrete parts as well as working for his own company Berg Presisjon where he sells Bleiker sport rifles and Eley ammunition.

Married to Tove, Verjoen has two little girls, Synnøve and Sigrid.

Because I am precision enthusiast.

What is your training program like?

I go to training with a passion and a technical goal in my mind.
