Background
Ken's father was a Commonwealth Medalist in rifle shooting, therefore encouraging Ken to get involved in the sport after years of watching him. Ken first started Air Rifle when he was 12 years old and by the age of 15 joined the joint Junior/Senior National squad.
2006 was Ken's breakthrough year when he became the youngest ever winner of the English Prone Championships. As a Junior he held British Records in every Olympic rifle event, and is the current British Final Record Holder in the 10m Air Rifle Event.
In between training Ken completed a Bachelors Degree in English Literature and graduated in 2010, one month before the Commonwealth Games. In 2010 he joined a German Liga team, SG Mengshausen, which won the Regionalliga Luftgewehr West Division in an unbeaten season. The 2011 season sees the team in the Bundesliga for the very first time in its history.
As well as Ken's father being a shooter; and now England’s Rifle Coach, his older sister Emma has also shot for Britain.
