25m Sports Pistol

25m Sports Pistol is the only female pistol discipline recognised by the ISSF and is an Olympic event. This discipline combines 30 precision shots and 30 rapid-fire shots all shot at a distance of 25m with a semi-automatic 5.6mm calibre .22 pistol. The pistols hold a 5 shot magazine with the same pistol used for both stages of the event. The shooter must stand free, without any support, with both feet and/or shoes completely within the firing point. The pistol must be held and fired with one hand only. The wrist must be visibly free of support. When the shooter has loaded and is ready to shot they must stand in the ready position as seen below.
