Matt Emmons is regarded as one of the most talented rifle shooters in the World with his reputation built on his excellent results and incredible consistency. The American shooter has excelled in the World rankings and secured two Olympic medals at the young age of 28. Adding to his Prone Olympic Silver medal in Beijing, Matt dominated the 2008 ISSF World Cup Final taking the Silver in Prone and Gold in 3Positions.
Current World Record holder and five times Olympic medalist in the past four games (Sports Pistol), Maria Grozdeva has so far been among the most successful Bulgarian athletes at Olympics Games. Her outstanding track record and medal haul at Olympic Games, European Championships and ISSF World Cup events has earned her the reputation as one of the best sports pistol shooters in the World. This summer she added to her achievements the title of 2009 European Champion in the Women’s 25m Sport Pistol event.
One of the most successful rifle shooters who has set World records and won multiple World Championships in all events from crossbow, air rifle, 50m small bore rifle, to 300m big bore rifle. Highly respected for his skill and expertise in the 3Positions event, Rajmond was Olympic Champion at the 2000 Sydney games setting an Olympic record of 1177p which still stands today. At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Debevec claimed his second Olympic medal winning the bronze medal in the Men’s 3 Positions event.
Jonathan Hammond is a talented British shooter originally from Aberdeen who is currently living and working in West Virginia US, as the University’s Rifle Coach. A World Junior Champion in 1998 (Prone) Hammond competed at this first Olympic Games at Beijing in 2008, Britain’s sole rifle representative having won a quota place at the European Championships in Prone. Hammond will take the experience of Beijing and build towards his ultimate goal of London 2012.
A formidable prone shooter, who has dominated this event in recent years winning an Olympic bronze medal, back to back ISSF World Cup medals and equalled the World Record. Warren Potent from Australia has been shooting since the age of 16 years and has competed at Olympic Games, World Cups and Commonwealth Games. Warren put rifle shooting on the map for Australia after winning back to back ISSF World Cup events in 2007 and has continued his winning streak winning claiming eight World Cup medals in the past two years. Warren has had a great start to the 2010 season, winning Gold at the ISSF World Cup in Sydney and equalling the World Record qualification score of 600.
Serbian pistol shooter Jasna Sekaric has had an extraordinary career which has earned her a reputation as one of the most respected pistol shooters in the world with a medal haul including five Olympic medals, five European Championships Medals, 59 World Cup medals, and ten World Cup Final medals. Crowned Shooter of the Millennium in 2000, Jasna is one of the most experienced shooters on the international circuit and is still as hungry for success now as when she started out.
